George Gitau is a Partner and a seasoned tax expert, admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a qualified accountant. He brings extensive experience in Kenyan and cross-border taxation, as well as regulatory compliance across multiple sectors.

He regularly advises clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. His work focuses on structuring transactions efficiently while ensuring full regulatory alignment, enabling clients to make confident, well-informed decisions.

George has acted for a wide range of investors in conducting legal and tax due diligence across sectors, identifying risks and supporting strategic investments. He also represents clients in complex tax audits with the Kenya Revenue Authority and handles disputes before the Tax Appeals Tribunal, the High Court, and across the appellate process.

Prior to founding GNG Law Advocates LLP, George worked at Anjarwalla & Khanna Advocates within the tax and corporate practice, and at KPMG in Kenya and Thailand, where he built over six years of experience in tax and regulatory advisory.
